Stichting Oorlogsslachtoffers received a new professional metal detector with accessories and clothing sponsored by Minelab Metal Detectors for its field research.

Minelab is the world leader in the technology of metal detection for consumers, humanitarian demining and military needs. By dedicating itself to research & development and innovative design, Minelab is the world’s leading manufacturer of portable metal detectors.

As a result of our previous investigations into war victims, I contacted Ciarán Duffy, Business Development Director Western Europe at Minelab International. This, after being well informed about our Foundation and its objectives, decided to provide us with a Minelab waterproof all-terrain CTX 3030 high performance detector with GPS function as well as various accessories and clothing.

At the moment our new acquisition is being studied before we want to use it for our field research, because this new professional detector is not only hardware-based, but also mainly software with an entirely different caliber than our current ‘old’ detector. The War Victims Foundation wants to use its new acquisition, among other things, for (military) historical research into (former) field graves.

The War Victims Foundation thanks Minelab in particular for sponsoring these professional equipment, accessories and clothing.
