More than 100 members of the international re-enactment group ‘2nd Armored in Europe’ brought a Wednesday visit to the German war cemetery in Ysselsteyn and the Peel village Griendtsveen.
The visit is part of the tour ‘7th on the move’, in honor of the 7th Armored Division which fought in the last days of World War II at Overloon, Meijel and the Belgian St.-Vith. The group continues to visit Meijel and Weert.

Through the organization of ‘7th on the move’, I had the pleasure to lead a tour of the German military cemetery for this re-enactment group. In addition to an introduction to the creation and existence of this cemetery were on request also a number of German war graves visited by war victims who, historically, were involved with the 7th Armored Division.
